Um grupo investidor espanhol estaria disposto a desembolsar 8 milhões de euros pela dupla (aproximadamente R$ 34 milhões), mas o Peixe bateu o pé e recusou a oferta sob a justificativa de que nenhum atleta do elenco é negociável no momento.

Mesmo com a janela de transferências para a Europa fechada, os investidores tinham a intenção de adiantar parte do valor ao Peixe e levar a dupla para o Velho Continente a partir de julho.

Os investidores tinham a opção de levar o lateral-esquerdo Zeca para o Atlético de Madrid ou para o Porto, que mostraram interesse e pediram auxílio deste grupo espanhol na negociação. Já Daniel Guedes poderia também defender o Atletico de Madrid e um clube do futebol turco, mantido em sigilo.

Em contato com a reportagem, porém, dirigentes do Santos não confirmam as propostas feitas pela dupla de laterais.

واستطرد: “محمد عبد المنعم من أفضل 4 مدافعين في مصر فنيًا وبدنيًا ولكن لا يصح أن نضعه تحت ضغوطات، وسيلعب مع منتخب مصر والأهلي قريبًا”.

وأردف: “لم أتدخل بشكل رسمي من ناحية النادي لحل أزمة جونيور أجاي، ولكن كنت أتحدث مع اللاعب باستمرار، والمسؤولين في الأهلي هم من يتولون مثل هذه الأمور، أجاي كان مصممًا على رأيه، يريد أن يحصل على مستحقاته بشكل كامل ويرحل بشكل حر”.

واختتم: “لا يوجد أي عروض من الزمالك أو بيراميدز للتعاقد معي”.

David Sullivan may fail to find David Moyes’ replacement for Sebastien Haller if West Ham United target Stade de Reims forward Boulaye Dia in the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Dia is an option for the Hammers in the mid-season market with the 24-year-old valued at around £10m by his Ligue 1 side after scoring 12 goals in 17 league games.

The Irons are in the market for offensive reinforcements after selling Haller to AFC Ajax for £20m, having decided to cash-in now on their £45m record-signing for fears of failing to receive offers in the same price range in the future.

Reports in France have also claimed that an opening bid of €10m (£9m) is expected, as the forward has a gentleman’s agreement that will allow him to leave the Stade Auguste-Delaune, but Reims want any interested party to present an offer worth €15m (£13.5m).

Dia has started 16 of his Ligue 1 appearances this season and is the division’s joint-top goalscorer with Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, having offered a league-high contribution of 44% of his side’s total goals to date.

West Ham must reconsider the hazards of signing Dia before Sullivan lodges a formal offer, as the Irons co-owner and Chairman risks failing to find Moyes his Haller replacement in the £3,000-per-week Senegal international.

Dia has only just begun to establish himself as a lethal frontman in Ligue 1 this season through his 12 goals in 17 games, having enjoyed a previous career-best haul of seven in 24 appearances last term on the back of a mere three-goal return in 2018/19.

West Ham saw just as much from Haller during what proved to be his final months at the London Stadium, with the Ivory Coast international striking 1.4 shots per game in the Premier League though only converting 0.2 of his attempts for three goals in 16 appearances.

Players moving to the Premier League from Ligue 1 and struggling has been a frequent trend of most windows and an issue that has not only affected West Ham, as well, as for every Eden Hazard to Chelsea, Fabinho at Liverpool or Dimitri Payet to the Hammers there have been the likes of Florian Thauvin at Newcastle, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to Tottenham and Tiemoue Bakayoko at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham also have a clear comparison in Modibo Maiga as they weigh up the benefits of signing Dia, having seen the Mali international completely flop in east London following his arrival in 2012 for around £5m.

Like Dia, Maiga had begun to establish a record in France before joining the Irons with a nine-goal season after a 15-goal haul in 2010/11, yet arrived at Upton Park to offer two goals in his maiden Premier League campaign before two further single goal seasons.

He was ultimately sold after three terms and a loan spell with Queens Park Rangers, having found the back of net just once in every 8.5 top-flight games in claret and blue, and must act as a stark warning to Sullivan and Moyes as they weigh up what would surely have to be considered as a risky swoop for Dia.

Em mediação realizada no Tribunal Superior do Trabalho na tarde desta sexta-feira, o vice-presidente do tribunal, ministro Ives Granda Martins Filho, definiu que o atacante Leandro Damião está liberado para acertar com o Real Betis (ESP). O contrato, aliás, deve ser assinado entre esta sexta e a próxima segunda-feira. Santos e o estafe do atleta entraram em acordo e o clube fica com uma porcentagem de uma futura venda do atacante, caso ela aconteça nos próximos 18 meses.

A porcentagem, porém, ainda é motivo de dúvida. Inicialmente, como está apenas pagando os salários de Damião, o Betis aceitaria ficar com apenas 10% de uma negociação, enquanto o Peixe ficaria com os outros 90%. Entretanto, as partes ainda estudam se a legislação espanhola permite esta manobra.

Além disso, para se livrar do processo trabalhista com o atleta por falta de pagamento de salários, 13º e FGTS, o Alvinegro fica responsável e se compromete a realizar o pagamento de R$ 4,5 milhões em 40 parcelas. O Peixe comemorou esta parte do acordo, já que as dívidas poderiam chegar à casa dos R$ 20 milhões.

Aston Villa finally begin their 20/21 Premier League campaign later this evening as they welcome Sheffield United to the Midlands.

With Dean Smith’s side being granted a week off, they played their first competitive match in the EFL Cup, defeating Burton Albion 3-1 to advance into the third round and whilst some starters featured, it was largely fringe players involved.

Smith could make as many as eight changes as he looks to field his strongest possible lineup, which means there’s a debut for Emi Martinez between the sticks.

New right-back Matty Cash is also handed his first Villa bow with Matt Targett, Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa making up the numbers in defence.

Newly called-up Brazillian Douglas Luiz may be preferred to the £11m-rated Marvelous Nakamba, who started on Tuesday night whilst John McGinn could be paired with Conor Hourihane slightly further up the pitch.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Michael Cuisance in the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

As per the outlet, the Tyneside club are showing some late interest in the Frenchman and are aiming to make up the ground on fellow Premier League rivals Leeds United as Marcelo Bielsa’s team had apparently held advanced talks with Bayern Munich last week.

The 2019/20 UEFA Champions League winners are looking for a transfer fee of £18 million to let Cuisance go, as Steve Bruce’s side may now face a battle with the Whites to get his signature over the dotted line before the market officially shuts.

Indeed, the 21-year old has been compared to Arsenal attacking midfield player Mesut Ozil in terms of playing style, while his former boss at Borussia Monchengladbach Dieter Hecking described him as being an “exceptional” player for his age (via the Bundesliga’s official website).

Cuisance certainly has a bright future and having already been part of the Bayern squad that won the treble in the last term, he will be hoping to add to his already luxurious trophy cabinet, whether that would be with the German champions or not.

Steve Bruce could certainly give him a platform to develop his game at St. James’ Park, as the sheer pace and physicality of the Premier League may well help Cuisance develop in stature as well as skill.

However, it looks as if the Magpies will have to fork out £18 million to beat off the potential competition from LUFC and secure his services.

Manchester United are in danger of missing out on Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho this summer. 

Man United missed Dortmund’s deadline to sort out a deal by August 10 and the 11-cap England international has rejoined his Bundesliga teammates for their pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

The Red Devils haven’t give up hope of signing Sancho just yet, but Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has dealt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a bitter blow.

He recently told reporters “we plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions.”

Now, The Manchester Evening News claims United could turn their attention to Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz instead.

Chelsea have emerged as top contenders to sign the 7-cap German international but United could still hijack the Blues’ bid for him in the summer.

Frank Lampard’s side are reportedly leading the race to sign the £90m-rated attacking midfielder, although it looks like the Red Devils are ready to challenge their Premier League rivals.

However, Solskjaer has insisted that Sancho is his top target, having chased the right winger for some time already.

While Havertz would be a cheaper alternative to the 20-year-old, he will not come cheaply either.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, Leverkusen’s top scorer remains their primary focus before the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

Ed Woodward is known for many things but acting quickly is not one of them. The executive vice-chairman missed out on signing Cesc Fabregas and ended up paying over the odds for United flop Marouane Fellaini instead.

Dortmund are notorious for driving a hard bargain and are unwilling to sell Sancho for anything less than £108m in the summer. They famously sold Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for £135m after rejecting a bid from Barca at the beginning of August 2017.

Both clubs are locked in negotiations but appear to be at loggerheads, while fans will have to wait and see how this poker game will play out, as the game is almost certainly afoot. The bottom line is if United want to sign Sancho then Woodward will have to break the bank.

Newcastle United and Southampton are reportedly interested in signing Burnley striker Chris Wood in the summer transfer window, according to the Sunday Mirror (via HITC).

As per the outlet, the striker is valued at around £13m, as Steve Bruce looks to add goals in the forward areas of the pitch.

Indeed, Wood can be seen as a bit of a goal-poacher, having scored a relatively impressive 146 times in 410 games over the course of his club career, playing for the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Brighton and Hove Albion, Leicester City, Leeds United and indeed the Clarets (per Transfermarkt).

The New Zealand international has also managed to net 24 times in 56 matches in all competitions at senior level for his country since making his debut back in 2009 under Ricki Herbert, according to the Transfermarkt.

For Burnley in the 2019/20 season, Wood scored 14 goals and supplied one assist in 32 appearances in the Premier League, as per Transfermarkt.

Comparing his stats in the top flight in the last campaign to Newcastle strikers Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Joelinton, Wood averaged the most shots per game, while also achieving the highest average overall rating (6.72) on Whoscored.

Based off of his experience and knack to find the back of the net, perhaps the Burnley striker would be a valuable asset at St James’ Park and, at £13m, may well turn out to be a bargain if Newcastle can get him for that price.

At 28 years of age, Wood is arguably in his prime years as a footballer, and so a move for the New Zealand international may not be a bad idea, but the Magpies may have to fend off the Saints first for his signature.
